About your instructors

Alessandra was born and raised in Milan, Italy, where she met her husband, who is also Italian. Together they decided to make the big move and relocated to Boise in 2014. Since a young age, she has always had a love for languages and traveling. She graduated with a degree in French from the School for Interpreters and Translators in Milan and has since taught at both Italian and American universities. She is also conversant in Spanish and is on her learning journey with Japanese. Alessandra loves the sense of wonder she feels when she experiences other cultures, their traditions, food, and art, and how words reflect the peculiarities of each culture. She loves being in class with her students to convey that same sense of surprise and discovery and share impressions of the places she's visited.

Mónica is a native of Albuquerque, NM. She has lived in Boise for the past 10 years with her two sons, enjoying all that Idaho has to offer! She grew up bilingual as her maternal family is Mexican-American, and Spanish was spoken at home. She has a passion for sharing her love of Spanish and the many cultures that encompass the Spanish language.

She joined Suntree Language Academy for the opportunity to broaden the horizons of her students through sharing her love of language and culture. She has traveled to many countries and looks forward to more travels in the future.

Lorenzo was raised in Saint-Marc, Haïti. He spent most school years in the city, helping out at his parents’ restaurant after class. Summers were spent with his grandmother in the mountains, where he hiked, explored nature, and developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors.

French is one of Lorenzo’s native languages, but it wasn’t until high school that he truly fell in love with it. During that time, he tutored French, led the French Club, and even assisted his high school French teacher with grading.

Lorenzo has always enjoyed a balance of city life and nature, which made Boise the perfect place to continue his education. He moved to Boise for university and started working at Suntree the very same day he arrived. Although teaching wasn’t his original plan, being part of the Suntree family sparked a passion for education. Since then, he has developed a deep love for learning about different cultures, studying languages, and sharing that joy with his students.

Elora Lanza

My name is Elora, and I was born and raised in Southern California. I take a lot of pride in my Mexican/Puerto Rican heritage. My love for the Spanish language and culture has helped shape my future, and because of that love, I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in Spanish and hope to teach at a college level one day. I just moved to Idaho with my teenage son. We are loving the new adventure and exploring the many beauties the Treasure Valley has to offer.
