This beginners' course focuses on language and cultural norms to help you get the most out of travel to Italy! You'll learn: Lesson 1: How to greet Italians at different times of the day How (and whether) to ask "how are you?" and kiss/hug/shake hands with Italians Say who you are and why you are in Italy A few basic pronunciation rules Basic street directions and an insight in the typical layout of an Italian town Lesson 2: Why does Italian culture revolve around food? Italian coffee culture How to buy your gelato The aperitivo culture Dining language and culture and practical examples with an authentic regional menu Lesson 3: Shopping! Ask the price (and understand the answer) and say what you want Useful everyday words Time for questions from the students / off the beaten path destinations
